25 Years of Celebrating Life’s Precious Moments®
The Precious Moments® collection by Enesco has been helping to celebrate precious occasions for 25 years. Yet, in the beginning, artist Sam Butcher only intended for his sweet drawings to encourage and comfort family and friends. It was in 1978 that Enesco Founding Chairman, Eugene Freedman first envisioned Sam’s artwork as three-dimensional figurines. Mr. Freedman took the illustrations to Master Sculptor Yasuhei Fujioka who transformed them into beautiful porcelain.
Today, 25 years later, Sam Butcher has designed a variety of figurines, ornaments and a plush bear in honor of the 25th anniversary milestone. Each porcelain piece features a commemorative 25th anniversary coin and also includes a certificate of authenticity.
